October currently.......

Linking up with Farley from Oh' Boy Fourth Grade for the October currently ~~~
Haven't taken part in one of these before, but it's great to read what everyone is up to!  Go check them out if you have time!
(More on my little book later for Tammy's linky.)
Not much to add except my Mum collapsed on Tuesday afternoon and is now residing in Coronary Care at the local hospital.  She's had a rough year - has broken an ankle and a wrist (still recovering) and now this.  She had a major heart attack in 2005 and lives with heart failure, so does have wee episodes.  I would so love for her to have a break - she never complains!  Hubby also in hospital again (just a short stay) - so they can visit each other!  House is rather lonely and I worry about them both so much.  Got a few days off school, while the dust settled, but back tomorrow to finish out the week.  Apologies for the personal sharing, but it helped to write it down.
This little world is my comfort blanket!

    1. I adore this book, as do the children and I love playing the parts and changing my voice to suit! It's such a charming wee book, with a big message. It's the first chapter book study that I introduce my first graders to - it's the only time the room is silent - lol!

  7. Oh Wendy, I am thinking of you. That's a lot to deal with, all at once. I find myself needing the same things that you do (dog walker included):)
