Giveaway winner .....and things I didn't know!!

Hi everyone!
Apologies for the delay in announcing the winner!  I don't know where the time has gone or what I have done with it!  Needless to say our house is still in chaos, but I love my hubby's good intentions!!
Lol - I couldn't resist!
Anyhoo - on to the winner......drum roll please..........!!
Congratulations Susanna Westby!  Email will be on its way shortly!
So..... things I didn't know....I am sure I am probably the only one in the whole wide world who didn't know this, but just in!
Have you ever been scrolling through your newsfeed on facebook and up pops an interesting article or post that catches your eye, but you just don't have time to check it out right now?  I usually end up sharing it on my page, just so I know it it there and can check it out later.  Incredibly - there is a much simpler way and when this was announced, I must have had my head in a bucket, but I only just found out - YOU CAN SAVE CONTENT FOR LATER!!  Am I the only one who didn't know this?!
Saving content for later couldn't be easier!  Click on the arrow on the top right of the post you want to save and a pop up will appear.....
Accessing it later when you have time to check it out is really simple.
Just go to your personal home page and you will see the 'saved' tab on the left hand side under the 'newsfeed' heading.  Click on the tab and you will be taken to your saved content.

Plenty of time to check out what interests you. when you have the time to spare - how cool is that?!!

Hope this little post has enlightened someone else - lol!

Congrats again, Susanna!

Hearts for a Heart Warrior

I have something really special to announce! Starting today, What the Teacher Wants is hosting a fundraiser for a very deserving local family here in Utah. Some of the biggest names in the TPT clip art world have all come together to help raise money for a sweet little "Heart Warrior" named Ryder.

Ryder's mom, Jessie, and Natalie (from WTTW) used to teach together and are very close friends.

Heartbreakingly, Jessie's 4th child, Little Ryder Cannon was diagnosed with a Congenital Heart Defect. He spent over 180 days in the ICU while doctors tried everything they could to fix his heart.

During his life, he underwent three open heart surgeries, one of which was an experimental surgery to replace his heart valve; he was the first baby at Primary Children's Hospital to ever have it done. That surgery was a success and earned him the nickname of "Heart Warrior." However, the doctors were never able to completely fix his broken heart. Ryder spent 30 days on the heart transplant list, but unfortunately the new heart never came.

Little Ryder passed away in August of 2014 at only 8 and a half month old.

During his short time in the world, Ryder blessed the lives of many. This little Heart Warrior leaves behind a mom, dad, two sisters and a brother who miss him every single day. The financial burden of it all leaves a huge stress on the family. The medical bills are still coming in and Little Ryder still needs a headstone for his grave.

{To read more of Ryder's story, click here.}

All donations collected through this "Hearts for a Heart Warrior" fundraiser will go to help the Cannon family with Ryder's medical bills and will also help purchase a headstone for Ryder's grave.

For your $25 donation, you will receive

There are over 300 graphics included in this amazing pack!

(These are both exclusive graphic sets and are not available anywhere else.
These are custom designed for this special fundraiser!)

This fundraiser starts right now and will run until Valentine's Day. I know that Ryder's family will be very appreciative for any and all donations they receive! Thank you!!

Also, a giant thank you to all who donated products to this fundraiser. Please check out each of these awesome blogs!

Ringing the changes.....and a giveaway!

Hi everyone!

It has been a while since I’ve written a proper blog post! 13 days into the New Year and I’m just now getting round to wishing you all a very happy, healthy and prosperous new year!

So, what have I been up to? Having some health issues – what’s new?! Little story……I was at the hospital yesterday for a minor procedure. Hubs collected me and said he had a wee surprise. I thought aww, how sweet – flowers maybe? I was in pain and feeling just a little bit sorry for myself at this point…. We arrive home and he drops the bombshell – “I thought you’d love it, but I didn’t get it finished on time”…..uh-oh…..this wasn’t sounding too good!!

You can imagine I was looking forward to a little recovery period snuggled under the duvet……hmmm – not to be! The Husband had decided he would swap around the bedrooms (he felt like a change!). He had managed to spread the bedroom furniture around 3 rooms! I thought….. he must have a bed ready – looking hopefully around for our Kingsize…..all available beds were in bits, yup spread around 3 rooms! I ended up on the couch with the dog – haha! Gotta love him, but I could have killed him – what an eeijit!! It seems he got bored waiting for the hospital to ring! So glad he’s going back to work tomorrow – I might get some peace! Of course, I’m left with the mess to clear up as well!

There’s more change in the air as well, big changes in my life, but that news will have to keep for another time. As soon as it’s official, I will let you know!

Due to my current health issues, I am at home. As things improve, I have been trying to implement a daily schedule of sorts, so the day doesn’t run away with me. Not just a schedule of work, but a schedule of recovery too. This is my first day trying to implement it, so fingers crossed it doesn’t just end up on the ‘good intentions’ pile!

So… ring in the New Year and resolutions and all that, I have been decluttering and revamping my stores. Delete, delete, delete! I have been enjoying updating and reorganizing and feel like my design store at least, is finally ready to be seen in public – lol!

To ring the changes, of course I have to have a little giveaway!

I have recently added 2 new products to the design store:

Product 1:

Click here to see this product in my store

Product 2:

I would like to give both of these away to 1 lucky winner! So scroll down and enter the rafflecopter – you never know, it might be you! Whilst the rafflecopter is ongoing, both products will be on at half price!! And there's more!  I will also be giving away a $25 Gift Certificate to my teaching resources store to spend as you wish - hopefully you will find something useful!  This little store has been languishing lately, as I have not posted anything new since the summer, but that is all about to change!  This will be my main focus over the next few months and I am excited to begin working on it again!

Teacher's Toolkit

Also, before I sign off today – I joined together with some friends to bring back our ‘2 for Tuesdays’ deals. Many products are 50% off for today only. See my choices below. Just click on the pic to hop over to TpT and see what other great products are on offer or click {here}
