Through the Power of Prayer......

Hey everyone!
So....I have dithered about writing this blog post for a few hours now - sitting staring at a blank screen, my mind a whirl of emotions.
You all know I use my blog from time to time to share personal stuff and I know you don't mind and might even be able to help.
Hmmm, where to start.... on Tuesday of last week, my daughter-in-law took her son Jay to the doctor.  She thought he had a virus which just wouldn't go away.  By Thursday, Jay had been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia - he is 4 months old next week.
I am going to try and keep my emotions in check, as I am sure you can imagine just what the family is feeling right now.
Because the leukaemia is acute and because he is less than a year old, he is in the high risk category of a quick spread to other areas, so he will be receiving double the normal amount of chemotherapy.
As of an hour ago, he has had his first drug and is sleeping peacefully.

(Maybe one day, Jay will read my blog and know how  much he is loved).

I'm kind of at a loss, as there is not much I can do to help right now - we will be there when they need us.  So I thought maybe I could ask all my friends in the blogging world to keep Jay in your thoughts and say a prayer for him - the power of prayer is a wonderful thing and I know just how much his Mum and Dad would appreciate it.  Thank you.

  13. Thanks so much everyone for your sweet comments, kind wishes and prayers. Unfortunately Jay's leukaemia has already spread to his spinal fluids, so he is receiving extra intensive treatment and is therefore quite poorly right now. I will post soon to keep you updated.
